Traveling Together: How Not to Drive Each Other Crazy (But Still Have Fun)

Top five trips for traveling with your partner!

Traveling by plane with your partner can be a wonderful experience if planned well. Here are five tips to enhance your journey:

1. Plan Together : Coordinate with your partner on important aspects such as seating preferences, flight times, and layovers. This ensures both of you are comfortable and reduces a ton of stress on both of you! Thankfully Keenan lets me hog the window🤭

2. Pack Wisely - Share the packing load by distributing items between your carry-ons and checked luggage. (Totally not because I always over pack and he packs like a normal human) Make sure to include essentials like snacks, entertainment, (my switch is ready for him to be away from his beloved PC and my kindle is in hand to limit book space) and any medications in your carry-on.

3. Arrive Early - To avoid any last-minute rush or stress, arrive at the airport well in advance. I’m a two hour early kind of girly. This gives you plenty of time for checked bags, TSA , and relaxing before boarding.

4. Stay Connected - Bring a portable charger and necessary cables to keep your devices charged. Download entertainment or reading material ahead of time to enjoy together during the flight✈️  this can work for most but Keenan and I are different on the plane - he will watch a movie that is free with the airline that he wouldn’t go out of his way on land for. I’ll be passed out 15 pages into my book for the rest of the flight.

5. Be Considerate and Patient - Traveling can sometimes be stressful, so practice patience and understanding. Support each other through any travel hiccups and maintain a positive attitude to make the journey enjoyable for both of you.

Use these tips for seamless flying with your partner, or don’t! I’m all ears if you have more ideas or if you disagree with mine.

Safe travels everybody.
